The Surgical Outcomes Club (SOC) is committed to serving the research needs and efforts of its members. In addition to providing our members with free access to high-quality articles through JAMA Surgery, we have assembled a collection of resources to aid our members in their professional development as they pursue a career in academic surgery. Presentation of research findings at meetings, obtaining funding, manuscript development, and finding a team of mentors are all critical pieces of developing a successful research program. Below is a list of resources, including typical dates for abstract submission deadlines to scientific meetings where SOC members can consider presenting their work as well as a list of funding sources to which members may be eligible to apply.
